Steel Prints
Unlike aluminum prints which are lightweight and easy to handle with one person, steel prints will be heavy. For example, a 44" x 66" inch print will weigh around 40 pounds or more. Your steel print will be shipped in a custom reinforced crate or other sturdy packaging option to ensure safe travel.

What is "Archival"?
There is currently no exact definition for "archival"--different organizations define it in different ways and there is no universal testing standard for longevity.
However, this term is loosely used to describe paper and inks that will last an extremely long time without fading or deteriorating if kept under controlled conditions.
Every print and painting you see in a museum is of archival-grade.
Some indicators that determine if a paper is of archival quality:
- Acid Free
- Lignin Free
- 100% Alpha-Cellulose
Acid Free paper can be made from any grade of cellulose and means the paper is lignin- and sulfur-free. Acid free paper has the capability to last between 500 and 1000 years.
Alpha-Cellulose is the highest grade of cellulose, as it is the most stable. When a paper has a high percentage of Alpha-Cellulose, you are guaranteed a stable, permanent medium for inks.
Should I Spray My Giclée Print?
Short Answer: No.
Long Answer:
Usually, if you are not planning on framing your print behind UV glass, you should spray your print with a protective varnish. This is especially true for matte finish prints.
For semi-glossy, glossy, and metallic prints, this varnish can leave visible residue and actually reduce the glossy appearance, so we highly advise that you avoid any kind of protective varnish or spray.

Frames Offered
-
Inset
Sometimes called a "float frame" this metal frame is invisible from the front-on viewing. This type of frame gives the illusion that your artwork is floating off the wall.
-
Euro Wrap
Your artwork is "wrapped" in a thin lipped metal frame. It is essentially a standard euro frame with an added 1/8 inch lip. The frame will be visible from front-on viewing.
-
Standard Euro
Your artwork is mounted in a 1-1/4 inch thick metal frame that adds depth to your print by separating it from the wall with a bold black border. The front-on view is unobstructed.
-
Shadow Box
Your artwork appears to be floating within the frame.
Finishes Offered
-
Matte
White matte finish diffuses all kinds of lighting, including natural light. This finish is best suited for areas with windows and other sources of natural light.
-
Satin
An in-between for glossy and matte. Reflections will be subtlety diffused. Good for areas with minimal natural lighting.
-
Glossy
White glossy finish reflects light with no diffusion. Glares from windows and other sources of natural light may be visible. We recommend displaying this style in a space where lighting can be controlled.
